Does Amex Global Card Transfer require moving to the US?
Short answer
No. Relocation is not part of it. The programme lets Amex look at the card relationship you already hold in your own country instead of a US credit file you do not have yet. Amex does not publish formal rules, so eligibility varies by market and by card.
What it does and does not cover
It supports personal card applications by referencing your existing personal Amex history. A US LLC's business credit is underwritten separately, so a business card is a different application.
Why it is worth asking about
For a founder running a US LLC from Europe who never moves, it is one of the few routes that uses history you already have rather than history you have to build from zero.
